The Chicana/o License Plate
Our communities have historically made and continue to make a statewide impact through the programs and services we provide. This license plate creates a pathway for us to collectively fund and expand our youth leadership programs, youth violence prevention programs, ethnic studies programs, facilitate access to higher education, and increase the cultural, social, and economic wellbeing of the Chicana/o community in Colorado.
How we did it
El Movimiento Sigue has devoted countless hours to pass this legislation. EMS organized witnesses to testify, led the effort to obtain petition signatures from throughout Colorado, organized artists to develop a relevant design, and has collaborated with both Rep. Tim Hernandez and Sen. Julie Gonzales to pass this legislation. EMS will promote and manage the process to obtain these specialized plates. Make a $50 donation and order yours today!
